Lee E. Miller is the co-founder of 3 Step Networks, a branded social media networking solution, managing Director of NegotiationPlus.com and the Career Columnist for the New Jersey Star Ledger. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he works with organizations and individuals on how they can more effectively lead and influence others both in person and virtually. He advises, trains and coaches in the area of influencing including leadership, cross cultural influencing, sales, negotiating, customer service and recruiting and has developed critically acclaimed programs on Influencing for Women Leaders, Negotiating for Women, Multi-cultural Influencing and Virtual Influencing.
Applying current research on influencing to social media tools, he joined forces with Barbara Jackson, a pioneer in distance learning and social media, to create 3 Step Networks. This application provides organizations with an inexpensive easy to use custom professional/social network that enables them to extend their organizational brand and leverage organizational influence for the benefit of individual members.
An Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and at the Seton Hall University School of Management where he teaches MBA courses in Managerial Influencing and Negotiating, Decision-making and Human Resources Management and is a five time recipient of the Business School's Award for Teaching Excellence. He is the author of UP: Influence Power and the U Perspective- The Art of Getting What You Want featured on Fox and Friends and the co-author of A Woman's Guide To Successful Negotiating (McGraw Hill) selected by Atlanta Woman magazine as one of the fifty best books for professional women and a featured book on The Early Show and Good Morning America. In addition, he is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal Online.
Previously he was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at TV Guide Magazine, USA Networks and Barney's New York Inc., a Vice President of Labor and Employee Relations at R.H. Macy & Co. Inc. and a partner and co-chair of the employment and labor group of one of the largest law firms in New Jersey. Lee is the former Chair of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters, the New York Chapter American Corporate Counsel's Employment Law Section and Secretary to the Union County Motion Picture Advisory Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Washington State Bar Association Credit Union. He is a Director of The American Repertory Ballet Company and an advisor to, and an Honorary Director of, the Tianjin Society (Singapore).
