John Evans is principal of John Evans Associates, a consulting firm specializing in organizational development and communications.
John began his career in financial services, with positions at the American Stock Exchange and Merrill Lynch and Company. He then transferred his focus to broadcasting and cable, where he had senior human resources responsibilities at CBS, Inc.
John works with several large training and development organizations, such as NegotiationPlus.com, The Forum Corporation and Management Team Consultants, Inc., where he delivers a wide array of programs in sales, management and leadership subjects. His clients have included Mellon Bank. KPMG, General Motors, Merck & Company and United Technologies Corporation.
John's training in recruiting and interviewing techniques has taken him all over the world with assignments for Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley, Citicorp, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Lifetime Television and executive search firms including Russell Reynolds Asso-ciates, Korn Ferry International and Boyden Associates, along with the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC).
John's executive coaching practice is extensive and he works with a number of senior managers in Fortune 200 companies around issues of strategy, people development and interpersonal com-munication. Among his clients have been executives from Moody's Investors Services Inc., Omnicom Group, Meredith Corporation, Lehman Brothers and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
John has received a number of awards from organizations like the ASTD (American Society for Training and Development), Sales and Marketing Management Magazine, the National Commun-ication Association and the Public Relations Society of America. He serves as an Overseer at Emerson College in Boston; and is a member of the Chancellor's Advisory Council for the University System of Maryland and is on the Leadership Council for the Clarice Smith Center for the Performing Arts in College Park, Maryland.
John earned his BA in communications from the University of Maryland at College Park; has done graduate work at New York University.
